  Another of Pembrokeshire's amazing beaches. Good surfing waves and a nice little cafe. Parking a little expensive at £5 but if you are spending the day there then acceptable I suppose.

  Unbelievably beautiful setting, great to explore once the tide retreats. Awesome quality sand, clean and quiet (at least in April).

  Whitesands or Whitesand bay is a beautiful open beach close to St David's in Pembrokeshire. There is a pay and display car park adjacent along with a public conveniences and a handy shop selling ice creams and beach related goods. The beach is open to the atlantic so gets surf coming in which adds to it's attraction. It appears remote as there are very few dwellings close by. The Pembrokeshire long distance footpath follows the land edge of the beach around and it is very pleasant to take a short stroll along this so you can look back on the expanse of the beach. The north edge of the beach is surrounded by the rocky coast which makes it very picturesque. At extremely low tides the stumps of a submerged ancient forest can be seen.

  It’s a lovely beach with clear water and beautiful views. It’s been a while since I was there but it was lousy with surfers then and apparently still is. This makes it harder for casual bathers and swimmers, who have to avoid their hurtling planks. They are usually separated but you try and tell a surfer - especially an old one - that he can’t surf whichever bit he wants! Toys RIGHT out of pram. They’re worse than vegans!

  Favourite beach ever. Unspoiled sands, good surf, rock pools and handy shop, toilets and lifeguards all add up to a perfect place to have enjoyed almost every day of the summer holidays when a youngster. Now my boys are enjoying it which is superb!
