I went to the store today Monday 3rd April 2017..2 cashiers were on duty when I went to the point of sale about 16.39 hours..I.asked for a price of a book and i was given the price and said thank you..I.walked away for a moment to discuss this with my 9 year old daughter and when I went back to the cashier I was given a certain look by the cashier. ( long hair one and very judgemental too) anyway I bought the book but I can assure you that I.won't be visiting this store again.. please send that cashier on a customer service course. Thank you.

Always queues. Now they installed self checkouts instead of a few counters, bull all of them are not working now and queues are even worse now! Very disappointed

/THANKS SAM/ I went to this store yesterday (Saturday 24/09/16) and i kept looking for an a3 sketchbook in the selves but I couldn't find it, so I did ask to a lady working there. We went to the section where this product was suppused to be and as there was none out there, she told me they run out of them, so I should check in other WHSmith (as I was quite in a rush). I kept looking in the store for other items I needed, when suddenly she came back to me with two a3 sketchbooks that she could find inside, even though I did not ask her to do so, by her own initiative she went inside and did check for the item, even though she didn't know if she would find me in the store). I asked her name so I could review her really kind and brilliant customer service, thanks a lot Sam, I wish all the customer service in retail were similar to this pleasant experience.

Its a large store full of rubbish. I have tried before to buy a few simple stationary items - they are always stupidly overpriced, and very difficult to find in the first place. There are often no people to ask where things are and when you do find them they struggle themselves - will use Amazon as cheaper and almost quicker than rooting round in here!
