Deer, sweeping open spaces, majestic mature trees, and a café with decent coffee. There are indoor attractions, including stuffed creatures and gemstones, but the real pleasure is the grounds. Parking charges if you park in the grounds. I love the Orangery, though it's always locked.

Nice relaxing place to visit for people of all ages. I was really fascinated by the intricate design of the castle. It's also interesting that the deer can roam freely in the park. That enabled me to get some excellent great close up shots of the deer.

Wollaton Hall is a beautiful historic building set within easy reach of the city and surrounding countryside. The car park payment machine only takes coins, £5 allows you to stay the day. The children's play park is varied and suitable for all ages but obviously becomes very busy. The grounds are beautiful with toilets and a couple of coffee shop and gift shop. The house itself was free to enter when we went and provided enough taxidermy and displays to entertain a 2, 3 and 4 year old. I would heartily recommend, even those without children should visit for the history and to take the extended tour.

Such a beautiful spot to just walk or clear your head especially not in peak season or peak weather. Amazing dog walking place I love taking my dog for a trot around the grounds so much more inspiring than my local area for her as well. Woolaton was a filming location for Batman and you can see why as you look up at the big house it's imposing. Worth a visit even just for a wander.

Very special place to go. It's nice to see a museum in this day and age that still shows how our interest in wild life began. We now cringe at the thought of killing wild life for our own interest, but without the ways of past naturalist we would not be preserving wild life today. The way things are presented at the museum is in good taste without the modern shock horror of so many wildlife exhibitions of today. The deer park is a shock to many as the deer are able to walk freely in the grounds. This is not a zoo, but a true oasis in a city centre.
