  Had a meal and drinks in the restaurant. Perfect evening. Food Perfect, staff lovely. My favourite restaurant by far in Yorkshire

  We stay at the York house hotel every year.. Prices change all the time.. The hotel is clean, rooms are great, bar attatched is nice.. However we will not be staying again.. We booked 2 rooms and bearing mind the rooms were only used for sleeping.. Went in 7pm We left the hotel 9:30 in morning.. We got charged £20 per room.. This was taken from the card the same day.. Apparently the room was untidy, mini bar was used and a sheet was ripped.. absolute Lies to gain extra money.. I am totally disgusted at this and how no evidence or proof was given.. For sake of gaining a extra £40 from Customers I will be doing all i can to make ppl aware to avoid York House Hotel

  The room was small but tidy and had everything I needed. I didn't touch the minibar so I can't tell you anything about that. The breakfast was good and the staff was nice and helpful. Since I arrived late, the reception had already closed and I had to check in at the restaurant next door. The restaurant didn't know about the payment for my room so I had to pay for the room again on arrival. But when someone from the office arrived in the morning they were very open and the problem was solved within minutes.

  It was a nice homely stay. However, the room was too small and far too warm. The staff was brilliant though and the breakfast was very tasty and a perfect size.
