The waiting time at A&E might be a bit longer, which is understandable, but if you're really having trouble, they'll admit you ASAP. All the nurses and doctors were very nice and very helpful. They listen, they test you for all sorts of things and they take their time with you - one patient at a time, which might cause a bit longer waiting time, but at least you know you're getting their full attention when they get to you.

Unbelievable A&E wait. Last week having nearly lost my thumbtip doing woodwork was over 5 hours & unseen beyond triage. I left without treatment & I wasn't even asked to sign any self-discharge paperwork, went home still bleeding, bound the wound & thumbnail back together myself. I also experienced similar extended waiting there 2 years ago after a head injury in a road accident & 3 hours waiting with dried blood on my face. ARI's A&E is badly understaffed, I really feel for those having to work there, they really do try & are professional at all times but it's a losing battle. People should not be left hanging around for over 5 hours, & it def shouldn't be getting to the point of folk giving up waiting and treating ourselves at home without properly-qualified help or any advice offered

The old Cafe was aimed at serving the public visiting the hospital with what they wanted. They had hot food nearly all day not like the new set up. I am sure it is set up for the owners not for serving the public. I visited today at 1.45 pm and the hot food was finished. The owners forget some people come from over 50 miles away and do need to eat just like me I have a 5 to 7 hour round trip and not being able to have a meal is a serious bacmkward step as far as I am concerned. Please bring back the old way as it was so much better.
