Well situated city centre hotel. Restaurant very pleasant; evening meal and breakfast both high quality. Our standard room was clean, quiet and well equipped. Would happily return.

Stayed for a single night in a basic pack room without breakfast. The room was pleasant, but not remarkable. Clean, with a comfortable bed, iron, ironing board, TV and safe. Staff seemed pleasant and the hotel itself was warm and welcoming. Location was excellent. Would happily stay there again.

Booked and prepaid for four nights B&B. Arrived a day late because of illness but notified hotel of this. Despite being assured our room would be ready when we arrived it was cancelled! Nobody could tell us who the duty manager or receptionist was that we spoke to at 9.40 am the day before? Finally got sorted with a room but we made a note of their names in case they were bogus staff too. One morning for breakfast I asked for poached eggs and some bacon. I received one egg and one rasher.....? On the last night the burglar alarm at the next shop went off all night......it was just one of those getaways we all have had. Positives........ good location, parking, comfortable bed. Gave us free parking because of noisy burglar alarm saving £36. Would I stay again.....Yes but there are lots of places to have your breakfast very close by.

Excellent staff, comfortable and spacious rooms and great amenities. Breakfast is also delicious, and you couldn't be closer to the city center. My only complaint is the noise - the walls must be thin and I was woken up multiple times throughout my stay due to conversations in the hallways, conversations happening in adjacent rooms, and housekeeping.

Went for Christmas meal. What we had was well cooked and presented. Just nowhere near enough for the price paid. We were given a bread starter on the table only to find out that it was extra and we were charged £1 per slice. Each slice was very thinly cut and small It was explained that it was because the bread was baked on site ..even I can put a part baked loaf in the oven and warm it!! Drinks very expensive. Nice surroundings and very polite helpful staff though
