  Groupon deal 2 courses with a glass of prosecco for £22.95, nice surroundings quite intimate and the food was pretty good. Nice evening but had to drive so couldn't sample the cocktails!

  this is not a moan as found the experience funny. was shown to my table which was two feet from bar. had a table reserved but we were the only ones there. said i could choose anything from menu but only had 50% of menu avaliable. had enough mash on my plate to feed four and overall was good for the groupon deal

  I think the main reason we rate Ad Hoc so highly is that it is consistent, CLEAN, and the staff are extremely attentive. Go figure... a common recipe for success. The decor is also interesting (think is was an old court house) back in the day. It's the polar opposite of what the town's old post office has become (an arts and crafts show with no service, dirty everything, and inconsistent food.. but that's a different review). Ad Hoc seems to get it right in a small village where there aren't many options and consistency/service are key. Try the whitebait starter (straight forward, but tasty) & any of the wraps/burgers. Wine selection is very good, cocktails nice (also have virgin options), and decent beers on tap.
