  We wasn't staying at the alma lodge, we had friends staying there so we went to see them. But it all look nice and clean. The rooms looked comfortable. This is where my friends always stay when visiting stockport. 👍

  A little tired. Staff seemed overwhelmed by the amount of work they had to do. The waiting staff were generally quite elderly to be doing such a physical job. Hard to think of a gentler way of putting it. The starter was ice-cold and straight from the fridge, which didn't bode well but the main course was fab. Everything piping hot, best vegetables and roasties I've ever had in a restaurant! Puds fine. So, a mixed impression but high standard of main course means I'll be back, probably for Sunday lunch!

  Nice clean environment... Didn't want music loud enough to dance to so got told that the limiter won't allow it... But it just needed turned up. Other than that good experience

  Luncheon meal of good quality, portions very ample, asked during service of the main & pudding sections, if you required your plate topping up. Wines at reasonable prices. Staff very helpful. I can recommend here as as a good venue to visit.

  There was 17 of us attending the Christmas Party night. It was a fantastic night. The food was very good and served hot. All the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The bedrooms were very clean and the hotel decorations were lovely. Thank you so much to all the staff.
