  - Quoted a price, charged another. "oh sorry" When quoted £30 for a tyre that retails online for £22, I thought it was acceptable so I gave the go ahead. However, after the job was done I was told "oh sorry, the tyre was £42" and showed the receipt on screen. You ask them questions and they answer like "we'll probably do it at some point today, if not tomorrow" "oh sorry it was busier than we thought, if we don't manage today it will be at some point next week" "oh did I quote the wrong price? Well this is the price" Honestly they could do with a touch of professionality.

  I booked my bike in for a service on the drive train, unfortunately the rear cassette and chain needed replacing. Alpine bikes did not have a rear cassette, which I thought was a bit strange for a bike repair shop, what was even stranger was it was going to take 10 days to get one (these are available from all the major online retailers for next day delivery). Two weeks later I dropped off my bike to have the cassette fitted, 4 hours later I received a phone call to tell me they had ordered the wrong one and it would take another 10 days to get a new one. The mechanic did not seem in the slightest bit concerned that they had ordered the incorrect part or the length of time to get a new one. I collected my bike to take it to someone who new what they were doing and understood customer service. When I got it home I discovered they had lowered the seat height, which had been set at a professional bike fitting and I would have to get an allen key to raise it to the correct height (and possibly have my bike refitted). I would not recommend bike repairs at Alpine Bikes Aberdeen, take your bike to someone who knows what they are doing and can carry out repairs in a timely manner.

  I bought a rear light from this place!!..(NEBULA)..After a couple of weeks later I noticed it was struggling with charge...The light kept cutting out half through my ride in the dark!!!!..I phoned the shop to explain my experience with the light and the guy said he will have to send the light of to the factory basically to see if I was telling the truth...I said what about replacing the light and he said no..Glad to know the shop always thinks about safety on the road.....Won’t be going There again...Be aware!!!!!! Do not buy lights from this bike shop as they won’t replace them!!!!

  Know next to nothing about repairing bikes. They checked mine over and simple repair for free. Great lads. Bought a few accessories while I was in. Well stocked place with good service.
