Really fun place for used clothes. Shearling & leather are a great bargain. Could be the place where you find the like you didn't know you've been yearning for.

Twice in a row I bought items on Nicholson St, and twice I was conned (large lady with dark hair), the lady cut the tags very quickly and asked me to pay 47 pounds, I was sure both items were 31. I though it was weird but I blamed myself that, I must have forgotten how much the items were for. Next visit, exactly the same problem, she cut she tags, put them quickly under the counter and asks for more than the items were for. This time I knew that I was not confused but conned, twice!!! and for evidence I had a friend with me who asked: shouldn`t we pay 27 instead of 42? That is not the end...Guess what, I share this story with my friend a week later and she says it happened to her too! she had visitors from abroad, took them to Armstrong’s for shopping and after she paid, she had the same problem, lady asked for more than the items were.I love this shop but the whole experience is more than disappointing...Please Fix this! lov.J

Nice store to spend time browsing the items and finding wee gems, whether it's for a special occasion or something quirky for the everyday. Staff are generally very friendly and helpful with the occasional exception. If you're looking for something it's definitely worth hitting this place up before you go to the high street.

This is THE coolest vintage clothing store I've ever been to. Words cannot describe had amazing this place is. It's a must-see on your visit to Edinburgh. It was like a set out of a movie. The staff we very nice too. Shop keeper looked like she was transported from 1920. I'm coming back with more money.
