::I have rented at this location, continually for many months and continue to do so. Staff are courteous, thoughtful and my every request has been accommodated.. I have read some of the other reviews, if you go into the office with a chip on your shoulder and an attitude, then don’t expect good customer service. Treat those hoe you wish to be treated. The desk staff at the Birmingham location go above and beyond the call of normal service. Thank you.

::Beware they will take your booking even if they don't have the vehicle you booked. Rude staff. My reservation for a mediam van was made on 20th August to hire a van for a house move over the August bank holiday. They deducted the money from my bank straight away. On the 26th August I waited 20 minutes in the queue in Birmingham Central to pick van up only to then be told that they didnt have one available. They could have rang me to save me the journey but theres clearly a cstomer service issue here. After some discussion it was agreed that Avis would contact me once a suitably sized van was available that day. I was still waiting for that phonecall 2 days later. I tried to contact Avis Birmingham on three separate occasions but I was on hold for 20 minutes each time before being cut off. A few days later I got through and requested a refund, checked my account - no refund issued. I had to ring again a week later to re request a refund and I am still waiting... I find it quite shocking that Avis have taken my money without delivering the service which has been paid for in full by me in advanced. Customer service has so far been appalling. In the end I had to book extra time off work to move the following a weekend I after getting a Van with Enterprise Birmingham Central who guaranteed that they can provide me with a medium a sized van for my relocation purposes. Enterprise even went down to their Rugby branch to pick up a van for me as the one they had ready for me had an electrical fault... That's what I call good customer service! Never using Avis again. I'm still waiting for my refund and will be telling others to avoid this dodgy company.

::Second time I've been here, staff was also angry and grumpy for some reason as if they've had such a bad morning. I was not even greeted with anything, not even a simple hello. They also didn't break down the price that they told me about, am I supposed to know how it works out just like that??! I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel when seeing faces like that early in the morning, very unprofessional people.
