  Bloody awful. Took 80 minutes with branch deputy manager to reinstate by debit card following a fraud stop. Prior to him, I waited 20 minutes to be seen. His 80 minutes was because the fraud group were not answering calls. Barclays is very understaffed.

  Exceptionally poor Customer Service. Advertising their new investment service IN BRANCH with large banners IN BRANCH (obviously to capture custom from who have taken some of their pension and wish to invest) but absolutely no knowledge IN BRANCH of the fact that when the new service opened online it went down immediately, telephone helpline queue in excess of one hour (I gave up waiting after 1 hour), insufficient testing and knowledge before they put this system live, all in all, BAD. Unable to access my investments and they didn't seem to care enough to provide a resolution. Seemingly Barclays have sufficient I.T. knowledge and wherewithal to fix Libor Rates but not to help their retail customers.

  Today I had to go in the branch as the ordered bank statements arrived unstamped and not signed(although ordered ages ago...) and the team even though had lots of people queueing were so accommodating and helpful! They did everything and made up for the horrid customer service.

  Be prepared 30-40 mins waiting time in a queue is a usual. One member trying to sort all the people out when other members running up and down in the building like it's a fire! You get closer to the counter quicker if you start moaning to other people in a queue so they leave before they got served.
