  I called today to re-arrange appt. Yarm branch number was showing no connection, I was told they maybe a problem with the line so he couldn't get intouch with them. After a long conversation of how I could manage to contact to re- arrange appt I was told he could email Yarm branch and they may get back to me if they pick up the email! All I wanted was to speak direct with Yarm - and this was impossible. This was to open a new bank account but after experiencing this very disorganised and unprofessional customer service I have had second thoughts.

  Today i tried to call the branch to make an appointment to open an account with my daughter. I used the number given and finally - after what seemed an age of going through the automated system which didn't understand i was a potential new customer, i got through to a very nice lady in India who didn't understand what i wanted at all. Needless to say an apointment was not made as i found the call just too frustrating and hung up.
