Here I have experienced the most unsympathetic saleswoman in Scotland. Before I entered at 2:50 pm yesterday at the Boots-store at the NorthBridge in Edinburgh, I saw on the door a note stating that they would close at 3:00 pm due to the weather conditions. When I came in, the saleswoman snapped at me that they would close in 5 minutes. I said it was 2:50 PM and so another ten minutes. No, she snapped again, it is 14:55 and we are about to close in 5 minutes. I said: well then I still have 5 minutes? She could not laugh about it. And when I asked if they also had medication, she said NO irritated and she did not know where a pharmacy was. Fortunately, her colleague was more friendly and told me that the pharmacy was close

Handy little boots, to grab a meal deal or toiletry items before you get on the train. As other reviews state, this store no longer has a pharmacy so you won't be able to get prescriptions here or buy 'P' branded products (or speak to a pharmacist). Small range of make up, good range of food, medium range of other things! Queues can build up which makes the store quite crowded, especially if you are trying to get into the fridges, but they usually have a good number of staff serving, especially at peak times.

This boots does not have a pharmacy. Other than that it is everything you'd expect from a boots store. It used to be a dispensing pharmacy but not for some years now, instead the closest one is about two hundred and fifty meters down the Royal Mile on the left as you walk down, by the old water pump. If you need to go to a Boots pharmacy for some reason the closest one is the St. James Centre. If you're just looking for some conditioner or to print a photo from your phone then this will do fine.
