  A charming, old school place with a soul. Fantastic range of toys. I was very surprised at the prices given it's independent. Not just reasonable, but often beating online shops. Only marking down 1* as the decor is a bit tired; I would spend much more time here, in other departments too, if it was modernised a bit.

  Great place to shop. Could have spent hours in there. Like an awesome rabbit warren of lovely products. You can eat there too - highly recommended.

  Excellent department store: the selection of cookware in the basement is amazing, and of good quality too. A really good place to pop in to when you need something for a recipe. The staff are helpful and welcoming. The pharmacy inside is also good, and accepts NHS prescriptions.

  Unique department store which I visit regularly because it sells interesting goods at reasonable prices. Lots of useful things difficult to find elsewhere. Good toy department with especially helpful staff - though all service here is friendly and helpful in all departments Great kitchen goods department and luggage and gifts. Good well stocked pharmacy at the back too. Generally good for buying interesting gifts.

  If u want a quiet cosy space for a light lunch or an afternoon tea - take a trip to the tea room- food is great value, staff are attentive - we have been so often they know our order off by heart. Great choice of food, tea and coffee as well as cakes and soft drinks. A must for your break in between shopping
