::There’s nothing more you can ask for when it is obvious that your friend is in good hands that know what they are doing. Being only visitors in Edinburgh, we felt safe and supported when our cat got bitten by a neighbour’s. From diagnosis to treatment, everything was very professional.

::Good vets - if a little on the pricey side (though I'm sure most vets are, since there's no NHS-style free healthcare for animals & you're paying cost-price for their medication).

::Polite staff but Very dissatisfied with the service, sometimes had the feeling they just make up prices as they go... got a quote for £70 before my dogs treatment only to be told on arrival it will cost me double... This is just one of a few surprises I experienced at Braids, found a different Vet where their prices are clearer and defo cheaper.

::I have taken my rabbits to Braid Vets twice now, and have received very poor service on both occasions, from different vets. My most recent visit was the worst one. I brought my rabbit in with what seemed to be an eye infection. The vet put green drops in his eyes to detect if there was any damage to the cornea. She said there was no damage, and gave me some drops for infection. I asked her to examine his teeth to rule out any relation to dental problems. The vet responded that she could try, but that the rabbit probably wouldn't let her. She tried, and he obviously squirmed because he was not restrained, so she said she wouldn't be able to check because he was wriggling. When I took him home, the green drops had accumulated in the cornea in both eyes. I didn't know what this meant and thought it was normal. The eye infection returned after using the drops she gave me, which led me to think it was a greater problem than an infection. We took him to a vet on Dundas street, who was so helpful. She checked his teeth and ruled out any problems there. She did the same with the green drops and identified that our rabbit has eye ulcers (the vet I saw at Braid Vets had not picked this up). They kept him in for their more senior vet to review. They took dental scans and flushed his tear ducts. They gave us two different types of drops to clear up the ulcers, and the whole appointment (plus accommodation for the day) cost less than my ten minute consult at Braid Vets! Needless to say, I will not be returning to Braid Vets ever again and am very disappointed in their service.

::Very nice with my cat. Friendly. Easy to get an appointment. Knowledgeable.
