Generally good. It was a bit cold but they turned on the heat for us. No blueberry muffins as advertised. These are small things but prevent 5 stars

My family visited on 8 April in the evening. There was a very helpful lady serving drinks & taking food orders alone. The restaurant was pretty busy but she did an excellent job without help .. totally unacceptable. We waited ages for our food that was overpriced compared to the quality of it . The decor is dated and the staffing inadequate. We will not be returning.

Had breakfast and an evening meal over the weekend 6-8 April 18. Served on both occasions by Caroline, lovely girl, friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble. Definitely recommend this place and will stay here again. Thank you.

I work nearby and have been frequenting this establishment for some time, usually on Fridays where myself and several colleagues eat. The staff are friendly, but the lack of them is alarming. Our lunch breaks are restricted to one hour and I have as today often waited 15 minutes to be served a pint while 15 people are in the food queue, with only one bar staff member trying to take the orders with customers not knowing what table they are on or whether their friend wants garden or mushy peas, hang on a minute while I ask! I have waited for 10 minutes in the past before a member of staff actually appeared behind the bar, often without any apology for no-one being there. This lack of service and staff is really unacceptable. I can't see how one person is expected to do both food and drinks orders for so many people. There should be more bar staff available. One person on at peak times is not on.
