  Not a great experience. Looks lovely from outside but did not continue inside. Cold dry meat, barely warm veg. Possibly the work carvery ive had.Booked a table but told to sit any where - they hadn't even reserved a table. Chaotic at bar. I know its a Sunday but if you can't cope or serve good good to that many people limit the number of tables you have. I will not be back

  Excellent, reasonably priced food and always a real ale on tap..I think it puts Blackwood Weatherspoons in the shade.

  Rooms are on the small side but very clean and tidy. The toilet is a little noisy due to the saniflo system. If you want an early night forget it. The few times we have been, there has always been a big crowd in the bar and the noise does reverberate upstairs. The prices are very competitive whether it be for the room, the food or the drink. The food was very good and there is a good choice of drinks at the bar. All the staff were very friendly and worked hard and even though there was a big crowd at the bar we never had to wait long to be served. On the whole the plus points far out weighed the bad and we will definitely look to stay again and recommend it to friends.

  It was a busy night when we visited. We ordered our food with in a few minutes of arriving & it came within waiting time or a very little over that given. The staff who served us were polite & friendly. Will go there again
