  Avoid at all costs! As you drive in there are broken alcohol bottles all over the car park and rubbish everywhere. The hotel is dated and in serious need of upgrading. We booked a non-smoking room, but when we got to the room the smell of smoke was overwhelming! When we asked to change rooms we had no apology from the reception staff, we were simply given another key to another room. The room itself was unclean with stains all over the bathroom with mould on the ceiling and bath. The beds were okay, but the overwhelming smell made our stay uncomfortable. We will never stay at this hotel again and will Be avoiding Britannia hotels if this is the standard. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

  This hotel's disgusting. Everything about it is poor. Decor is REALLY dated. Everything is broken. No hot water from showers in TWO ROOMS. Car park is pot holed.. stains on walls, carpets, old power sockets.. no extractors in bathrooms.. for god's sake just stay away!!

  Came here with National Holidays in September 2016!! A very interesting experience!! The windows wouldn't shut ,the net curtains were black, and the fire alarm went off at 11 pm, scaring the life out of me!! Thankfully it was a false alarm!! The lift was an interesting experience - you never knew which floor you were going to end up,or down,on next!! Still, the food was excellent, and the staff did their very best to help!! A very interesting experience indeed!!

  My husband and I stayed here for the weekend when we went to the Christmas market in Birmingham as part of a coach tour package. Inside the hotel it was nicely decorated in a modern style and we found it clean. The food was nice and the staff friendly and welcoming. We would happily return to this hotel. They even had a beautiful Christmas display by reception. Wonderful.
