::The food is as great as the fishing..

::Well where to start with this place me my father and my son have been going hear for near on a year now every week without fail until now ......!! I've had many issues with this place but this weekend was the last time for me unless something major happens. We have spent over £1500 Just on day tickets alone and being treated like something you just stood in Neil clearly has no interested in being there always late opening up if he even turns up been left waiting to fish for over 40 minutes because Neil phoned in sick and then when we asked will you shutting 40 minutes later to make up the time Paul the owner more or less told us to **** off very rude man ..!! Should not be allowed to come into contact with the public Debbie is a nice piece of work I forgot my medication which I need daily as was in a rush that morning so my wife brought it down with a spot of lunch for me to broght my daughter's with her too so they could see there dad on the bank Debbie and Paul gave my wife so much trouble about bringing my medication and said that my wife was taking money from the lake because she brought me a little bite to eat with my medication that's a joke because every time I've phoned from the bank for food to be delivered can't do that as got no one to do it this week tried for 2 months solid but gave up in the end so took my own food. So if you like being treated like this and like going to a lake that is run like a shambles then this is the place for you.

::Just done a 48 hour session at Broadlands with 2 mates. Fished the main lake which is a huge water 28 acres I believe a lovely water. That's the pros done. It's a tough fish!! Not a lot showing you really need to actively find them which is tough if you're bivvied up!! We had 1 carp between 9 rods in the session and a total of 2 runs. Poor really. As I said it's a hard hard water. Silt bottom with a few gravel bars and 2 islands. Aside from the fishing the place doesn't get any better really. The facilities are POOR!! 1 toilet/shower shed on the site yes 1 and it was in a state. No facility to dispose of rubbish so you have to take it with you. There is a club house which is ok. Food served is edible but no better. Lady owner a bit rude really. There are also a lot of rats about at night on the lake so don't leave bait or otherwise about. Lastly the M25 is noisy but bearable. Needless to say we won't be going back. It's a shame really as clearly a popular venue for over 20 years which seems to have rested on its laurels instead of improving with time. 👎

::Done a week on singers and managed to lift a 8 year curse which was published in carp talk so definitely a week not forgotten and the venue itself is a truly breathtaking piece of water with even greater gems swimming inside it..... And now im taking my son here this weekend cannot wait :)
