  Staff are very friendly and helpful, they sometimes even open a few minutes early in the mornings, as once they get to the office they might as well open up. They don’t grudge about just going proof of postage unlike majority of post offices

  I couldn’t get my daughter’s Xmas gift on time because they decided to close early. I didn’t want to miss my amazon parcel incase they delivered during work hours. So I chose to pick up the parcel at this post office. When I got the amazon notification that my parcel had been delivered it was too late to make it before the post office’s closing time. So my only option was the following day a Saturday (23rd Dec). As I had a busy schedule on the day I rung the post office to make sure they were still closing at 12:30 to which the manager (I believe) answered yes but everything will be shut at 12:30, to which I replied ok no problem I’ll be there by 12:15. 12:15 I was there, just to find all lights off, I kept buzzing the buzzer outside hoping someone was still inside as the shutters weren’t down yet. But no one answered. To my relief (or so I thought) the person I spoke to on the phone came out of the post office at 12:30. I told him I came to collect my parcel from amazon and I’ve been outside since 12:15. He said he couldn’t let me collect it as he had turned off the computers and the parcel needed scanning. I begged him as it was a Xmas gift, and reminded him that I had called and confirmed the closing time and notified him that I was coming before 12:30, and I was there at 12:15. To which he responded,’ I’ve had loads of calls all morning, anyway you left it too late’. I tried again to reason with him and he cold heartedly said ‘please don’t go there, it’s been a long day, I’m not opening again’...I went home with tears in my eyes...as I single mum, working full time and living on a tight budget sometimes last minute is all I can afford. I wasn’t looking for a special treatment that day, I was on time and I’d rung beforehand just to have it all thrown into my face.

  On two occasions, I rushed there after work and they were closed at 17:20 - 17:25! I questioned them about the 17:30 closing time but they replied "we're closed! Lights are shut see?"

  Pointless questions and rude staff. Not pleased at all. Train them better, the service is appalling!

  Terrible post office. Always problems with parcels and the Manager is very rude. Avoid this place if possible.
