::Nice to go for a walk. There's a lot is people doing sports, with their pets... Nice to have something like that in the city centre

::Bute Park is by far one of Cardiff's best features & a must see while visiting the capital. It's a park to be enjoyed, & is the people's park. With Cardiff Castle as back drop, & ever changing colourful trees that delight the eye through the change of seasons, it is both a photographer's dream & nature lovers alike. Bute Park has so much history, nature & wildlife. There are signed informative walking trails where you can discover different flower, tree & bird species, well maintained flower beds which are a spectacle in Spring & Summer, & being right on the River Taff, you can catch a water taxi to Cardiff Bay. The park is popular with walkers, daily strollers, joggers, cyclists, & visitors alike. There's a lovely cafe just a 5 minute walk from the entrance, with outdoor seating, serving great coffee, & a convenient place to take a break from your day. Further in to the park there's another cafe & art gallery. Other features of the park include tree carved sculptures, stones, & in Summer, Coopersfield plays a part in hosting outdoor concerts.

::I love this place. You can start at Pontcanna Fields and cross the river into Bute Park. There is woodland and various paths that take you further onwards into Sophia Gardens and Cooper's Field. I regularly do this and pop out on Castle St. And head into town for a coffee and stroll around the city centre. It's great exercise and accompanied by the dog it's a good few hours out. You then have the pleasure of doing it in reverse as you head back though the park and head home. Never get bored of the place. A very special park.

::Very well kept park in the centre of the city. Lots of friendly locals with their dogs and family's. Sadly a fair few bikers don't follow the 5mph and bell rule. So you tend to be looking over your shoulder for that speeding bike. I tend to follow the mud paths just to avoid the bikes.

::Amazing place. One of the best in Cardiff. Once private park of the Marquess of Bute, who donated it to the city together with the castle and other properties. You can go exploring new paths, meet lots of dogs strolling, start the Taff wells path, watch rugby games and enjoy an amazing piece of nature. Plus it's the park in the world with the highest concentration of different trees in a 3 mile sq field. With a lot of record trees that you can recognize from the black tags.
