::Spacious clean room, with good shower. I got the last parking space upon arrival, so I'm guessing it can be full. 10min walking to the nearest supermarket and 15min from the Cathedral and High Street.

::We stayed over after getting the ferry back from France. Very close to the centre of town and easy to find. Room was superb, clean, plenty of facilities and finished to a great standard. Breakfast was absolutely the best. Anything you could possibly want and the full English was very good.

::We had a very relaxing stay at the Canterbury Hotel. The room was decent with very comfortable bedding, required furniture and room heating. The overall ambience of the hotel was very friendly and the decor elegant. The breakfast was tasty and we even had good vegetarian options. The Canterbury east station is a 5 minute walk The only con was its location which is not in the city centre which could be a cause of concern in the late evenings.

::Good sized family rooms with comfy beds. Heated pool and sauna is an appreciated bonus. Breakfast could have a batter vegetarian option.

::My husband, son and I spent 4 nights at this hotel recently while we were in Canterbury for his graduation. It is situated along Wincheap, which is about a 15 minute walk into the town centre. Once you get up to the underpass and cross to the other side of the roundabout, it is a really pleasant walk along Castle Street into town. Now back to the hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and happy to help in any way possible. In fact, they changed our room for us on our second day because we were not happy with the shower in our bathroom. My husband and I were booked into a regular double room, while our son was in a superior double room. Our room was quite small, with 2 suitcases it was quite a challenge to move around. However, the bed was comfortable, the room very clean, and the iron and ironing board provided really helpful. There were good toiletries in the bathroom, bath robes and a hairdryer. The superior room was much bigger, I mean at least half the size again. However, situated at the front of the hotel it was a noisier choice, especially with the flags flapping all the time. Bearing that in mind, if I returned, I would book a regular room again. There is a small restaurant where breakfast is served. The food was really good and the service very quick. There is a choice between English and continental breakfast, a variety of fruit, croissant, and cereals. The coffee kept coming. I believe they also provide sandwiches at other times during the day. There is a small swimming pool, although we didn't use it. According to the desk clerk, many locals use the pool for aqua aerobics, but it is too small for swimming. Overall I would be happy to return to this charming, small hotel; mostly due to its friendly and helpful manager and staff.
