::Given Cardiff Central’s distant from the city centre, Queen street is absolutely the more convenient station. Decent number of platforms for a station if it’s size, and a reasonable set of services. Some train ticket booking sites don’t properly book tickets from this station if you’re to go through central (stating you can just walk the distance) but this can be done with a bit of fiddling with options. Well worth it to save the walk, especially if you’ve got luggage.

::Does its job as a train station. Trains run on time unless there is a problem in the line, easy to navigate as it is well signposted. Platform information is at the main entrance that lets you know what time every train is due in. Cafe could do with an update and the prices are ridiculous. Toilets are available but not the cleanest. Buy your tickets face to face or from a machine, barcode scanner not the most reliable and never reads the new mobile tickets but the gates are always manned so this is never a problem. So all in all a few negatives outweighed by positives
