  Large room, equally large bathroom. Proprietors were very welcoming, & seemed happy to fulfill requests. Breakfast was faultless. Great place to stay for a short break to Birmingham.

  Fabulous veggie breakfast, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and Michael and Marlene were incredibly friendly and helpful. So why the 4 not 5 star? Mostly because the showers in the rooms right at the top of the house have inadequate water pressure and were barely usable. Also the on-site parking is first come first served, though there was plenty of parking on the road a short walk away. We'd definitely come again, though we'd ask not to be in the top floor....

  Had two nights stay Marlene and Michael gave me a friendly welcome, the room was a nice size with tea/coffee/TV, en suite shower room everything was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable. very good English breakfast. would recommend and stay again.

  Michael and Marlene made me feel really welcome and were really happy to help with recommending places to eat nearby. Tasty breakfasts and a clean, comfortable and simple room at a decent price. Location is great for visiting the NEC as it's an easy bus ride straight from there. I would recommend the Central Guest House.
