  We came here with a groupon deal, so can't comment on the value for money in the normal menu. But the thali was great!

  The place was pretty congested and there were a lot of rowdy behaviour around. Food was good, not as spicy as expected from an Indian cuisine. I personally prefer the Lewes branch over the Brighton one.

  I love Indian food but felt this was not the best. Mine was overwhelmingly cumin-y and others at the table had sauces that were overly turmeric-y. Service was fantastically slow as well with us requesting a jug of water and some drinks 3 or 4 times before anything appeared (despite being almost empty). The waitress was nice but the waiter we had kept leaning across people - even whilst eating. Shall overeat elsewhere in the future.

  Very good restaurant with nice ambience. When we went, it wasn't much busy, couple of us and another small group of 4-5. We had ordered Thali (an Indian set meal)… which reasonably took longer than expected for the kind of food it was. Taste was very good but portion (especially Chapattis, only 1 provided) was small. We had Groupon voucher so it was OK for the price we paid but certainly for the menu price, it is not worth. I will go there again but not for the Thali for sure.

  Food is really bad. It seemed as if the food was cooked in age old oil. When I complained, I didnt get any satisfactory response from their end. They were treating us like we had made a mistake by visiting their place. This is really bad, especially considering all other good restaurants around. Service is very slow too. We had to wait for more than half an hour for our food, and that too when we were the only customer present. Cant imagine the waiting time if the restaurant is full. I would not recommend this to anyone who is fond of good food and service.
