    Previously advised 2 years ago by a Consultant at the JR hospital that 4 of my teeth needed root canal treatment. Dentist disagreed saying didn't think it was possible. Follow up appointment at the hospital then confirmed there was no reason why the treatment couldn't be done. For various personal reasons l did nothing more until now, when a broken tooth on a plate forced me in to contacting the practice by email. l took the time to explain a few personal matters in the hope it would help them understand my situation. One thing l explained regarded an assault by a dentist many years ago. l received a reply saying the treatment would take up to a minimum 7 weeks. l then phoned the practice manager who explained why it would take 7 weeks. Whilst l have to accept the explanation, l feel it is far too long a time period. Further more, there was absolutely no acknowledgement to any of the personal issues l mentioned in my email to them. I may as well not have wasted my time composing an email trying to help them understand. Total lack of empathy, and from my experiences it's just not the customer who's not always right but also an Oral and Maxillofacial Consultant, according to this dental practice
