The shop itself has plenty of choice though a lot of it is expensive. The cafe is reasonable value but seems always to be too busy. Staff seem unhappy maybe over worked certainly not friendly. Lots of dirty tables around. Staff never rush to serve. Food itself is nice.

Always enjoy going to Dobbies. Especially Now as we can take our Doggies. BUT your not up to PAR with Pentland Plants on Doggy Cafe! They have an outside bit for anyone and an inside Quarter set aside for Dogs and Owners!! Brilliant! Why dont you set a small part of your cafe aside at the furthermost side of cafe??? In Germany and other countries in Europe One can take their dogs onto most places. We lag behind!

Ideal for families and meet ups. It's a great point to meet for us as it's between Fife and the Borders. Excellent cafe and place to breastfeed, a park, nice shops, lots of fish to look at and nice gifts. Would go back again and again !

Great place, plenty to choose from. Helpful staff is some of the retail village. Bit pricey. Might feel like people are looking down on you if you don't wear tweed kinda deal.

We stopped for lunch after visiting the butterfly world across the car park. The food is pretty good and there's a pretty good range, the staff were friendly and helpful. There's a coffee shop too adjoining the cafe, so no need to queue if all you want is coffee and cake. There's a wide range of products in the garden centre itself, a bit on the pricey side (for example books and toys) or higher end of the market for many items (look in the cycle store).
