  Fantastic experience at Edinburgh Motor Company. Having received extremely poor treatment from Peter Vardy (a severe understatement), I went to Edinburgh Motor Company in the hope that there are good honest car dealers out there. The whole experience was seamless beginning to end, I got the car I wanted in no time at a fantastic price. The owner, Fraser, was fantastic. In light of the treatment I'd had at Vardy's and now having been without a car for a week I was eager to get moving again. Fraser encouraged me not to rush and invested time and effort in ensuring I got the car I wanted. I received my car today and it is in fantastic condition, Fraser also sorted out the transfer of my private plate with no trouble at all, something Vardy's were refusing to do for me. I will most definitely stick to this garage for the rest of my life. Having witnessed the customer service not only I, but other customers receive day to day in here I strongly recommend this company.

  I would advise people to stay well away from this Company and its owner. I have been waiting for over a week for a return call ( I have made many calls, where there is no answer or a female answers and says she is answering calls on behalf of the EMC.) I can only think he cannot make out going calls...... Maybe my sale was not important enough...... If you are looking for a 2nd hand car stay well away from Fraser & co.....I can only 2nd the above comments .....

  Having read the reviews on here, i was sceptical about visiting the garage. There is always a chance that reviews are written by bad customers so i checked them out myself and couldnt have been happier with the service. A great car, great service and would have no hesitation in recommending them. Its a shame people only ever review for negative reasons and i am sure these are no reflection on Edinburgh Motor Co. The owner was very helpful, and reminded me that after selling hundreds of cars to only have 3 upset people was pretty good, a fair point i suppose!

  First off, Fraser, the owner - you'll never meet a more obnoxious, arrogant man if you try. No relationship or interest from this chap. He clearly doesn't care about his customers. The car, like a previous review, I had issues. I took the car to a garage for inspection and they pointed out some points of concern. This was laughed off. The "3 month warranty" is pointless, it's with a 3rd party where you have to dance through hoops to get anything. The establishment looks reputable, never judge a book by it's cover. It's all fur coat and no knickers. You'll get on well if you take a mechanic to give the car a thorough inspection, don't care for personal attention and can stomach the stench of the dog in the office. Oh, watch out for old "Arthur Daley" lurking in the corner too. They're like a tag team together! Other than the above, everything else is fine!!

  If you are inclined to buy from the owner, Fraser - 1. Make sure the car is properly vetted by reputable firm like the AA, someone that knows cars 2. Make sure any agreements are in writing!!! Discussions best emailed so you have written confirmation 3. Confirm! confirm! confirm! BE WARNED
