  I love this Salon! After turning the big 3-0 in summer, and losing a lot of weight, I decided that it was about time I changed the hairstyle I'd had for the past 12 years to reflect the "new me". Off I went to Essensuals Southampton. I had a really lovely welcome, the salon was busy but I was greeted straight away. I was then in a chair, with a nice hot cup of tea, having a colour consultation with Dean - the salon manager and colour expert. He recommended a shade for me which was beautiful but I wasn't quite brave enough to try, and so he talked me through my other options and helped me decide, before custom-mixing my ideal colour. Then came the cut. As a curly-head, having someone new cut your hair can be a little scary - curly hair doesn't behave like straight hair and one rogue snip can leave you with a ball of frizz instead of your dream new 'do. Dean introduced me to Tanisha, and I showed her a picture of a style I liked and asked her if it was feasible. She was brilliant. We spoke about the style, I said I was little nervous at having a fair bit chopped off (going from shoulder-length curls to a very short graduated bob!) but she was so confident my nerves vanished. Tanisha checked in with me every step of the way, asking if the length was right, was it looking how I wanted, and was I happy with what she was doing. Before I knew it, the cut was finished, and the new me was beaming back at me in the mirror! I would definitely recommend this salon - whether you want a new look or just a tidy-up, you'll be made so welcome and you will love your new hair. They also do beauty treatments, so they can look after you from top to toe. I can't wait to return, and try that new colour that Dean recommended to me in the first place!

  Fantastic experience. Warm welcome by the reception team, i was made to feel very welcome even though i was nervous changing hairdresser. The colour i had was fantastic and the colours suit me much more than before, the cut after was modern and i have left feeling 10 years younger! Thanks to the team i shall be back soon!
