::Room for Improvement A year has passed since placing our order so we hope this is a purely objective account of our experience which can help others choose. Design phase This phase of the project sold F&D to us. They were very friendly, attentive and accommodating to our various requests. Having seen seven companies in all we got the impression that F&D understood our vision the best and so we signed the order. Implementation Leading up to the build was encouraging with lots of visits to the property checking measurements and planning the early stages. Within half an hour of day 1 of the build however I was told that one of the walls was in the wrong place. When I pointed out that these were not my measurements I was still made to feel that it was my problem - anyway a compromise was made. Next the island was installed in the wrong place leaving insufficient clearance at one corner. I spotted this fortunately just 1 day before the flooring company was due in! Next I was told that the boiler had to move which was not communicated earlier in the project which delayed matters further. Throughout this phase I had to chase for project updates and frequently had no idea who would turn up from one day to the next. We were also hounded to pay for goods that had not been delivered. After sales service What after sales service? We were paid a visit by a member of the team who took pictures to help promote their business further but since then not a peep save for some follow up maintenance that we requested via the guarantee. There was no customer service satisfaction survey which in this day and age we found astonishing. Conclusion We have a new kitchen that we like very much and as a consequence spend more time in this space both cooking and socialising with family and friends. When you spend 5 figures to get there however you expect the good initial sales experience to carry through to the end of the project and beyond. This company could be great but they still have a lot of customer service lessons to learn...
