::I live very close by. This is a very large park. Great children's park. It's has a cafe . That's serves snacks and hot drinks. Good value. Toilets. Very clean park. Great for cycling . Games. Walking the dog. Every year at the end of May have a very large Music Festival Three tents holding lots of various bands. Rock to Alcustic music. Thousands of people come to this advent. Highly recommended it. NOT to be missed.. Also have stalls a face painting. Weekend Saturday and Sunday. Lots of stalls craft clothes jewellery food. Etc.Face painting. Also every August they have a big fun day. Also they held events certain evenings in the cafe. Every October a dog show also have various stalls and face painting. I love this park. Great to take kids. It's also great veiw to watch the world fire work competition held in plymouth every August. Parking in the area is parking permit only in certain streets between 10 am to 11 am.

::A nice space, open fields with a fenced in kiddies park area. A nice place for a picnic and or to gather with a few friends for a BBQ. The freedom festival is usually a good time and it's all free, well the music is. Lots of activities and events, good for all ages.

::Great place to walk the doggies. Plenty of bins for dog poo to help people keep it clean though you do still have to watch where you're walking sometimes. Children's play area looks good and is gated/closed off from the dogs but I don't have kids so it's merely an observation. For anyone interested in getting into running, I found this a great place to start out with the couch to 5k programme as the paved paths make a nice circuit that you can vary a little and the park is mostly flat save for a slight incline on the bottom end. As a bonus, the entire path is lit at night/early morning. As mentioned in some other reviews, there are sometimes kids that get drunk in the sheltered area later at night but I've never had any problems with them as they tend to keep to themselves.
