Very helpful. I popped in to buy a bit for my pump because one of my tyres has a different valve. The man in the shop, I think it was the owner, showed me that I had actually got that adapter. He insisted on pumping up both tyres for me.

Avoid! Went in for a simple fix, re attaching brakes after disassembling the bike to put in a car. Have since learned to do it myself, taking no more than 2 minutes, but wasn't confident at the time and didn't want to take the chance on brakes. Owner took the bike and said he would charge "minimum charge" - turns out that min charge is £25! No new parts, 2 minutes work. Younger shop assistant was even embarrassed and bolted to the back of the shop when i challenged the cost. Terrible service.

Avoid if possible. Shocking service. The rude owner got really annoyed at my 2 years child son for touching some plastic bikes models on his window while I was talking to him. To be censured.

Great little shop. Awesome repairs. Awesome bikes. Plan your visit, give them a call first. They really do get very busy on weekends with repairs. Drop your bike off and then forget about it and enjoy your day. They can be a bit rubbish about getting back to you. Can relate to it because I was born before the internet age. Just chill out and enjoy the ride. The job will get done. When you do get your bike back its worth it. Every time I show my face there it is usually after a prang and they do a great job of straightening things out and getting my bike rolling again. If you tried any of the of the big chain cycle repairs you will appreciate them even more. They know how to hold a spanner properly and wont give you a line of bullshit about what is wrong with the bike. Long live the small independent LBS like Future Cycles! :-)
