  Good university, teaching is first rate, really freindly staff, helpful and good atmosphere, the union are really great too, food is good all over campus.

  A University that prides itself as multicultural yet racial and gender segregation is practised in my department. During group work, some students were allowed to choose what race, gender or nationality types they wanted in their group and I was threatened with disciplinary actions when I spoke against it yet several complaints I made have been ignored even right to the Pro Vice Chancellor and University board because perhaps they relate to the bad treatment, stereotype, racism, bigotry meted out to some students from certain backgrounds and do not care. Some home students were allowed to swap groups and choose who they wanted in their groups even though the model handbook states otherwise, I was kicked out of my group because the members only wanted to work with their friend, was left with no group to work with, complained about this several times but I was told I have to talk to them to have me join again instead of speaking against their bad behaviour, one Asian student also faced the same problem. His group members opted out to join their friends in other groups leaving him all alone with no one to work with, when on paper we are supposed to be only 4 in a group but some groups ended up with as many as 6 members. After several complaints nothing was done about it thereby affecting the final submission. Authorities tend to side with home students and staff at all cost so there are no proper investigations regardless, instead just cover ups and excuses. With a student association that is so anti-foreigners that just doesn’t want any African student being elected into any position in the University, we do not have a voice. There’s nothing better to learn from this university except bad and bitter experiences thanks to some university staff and heads. African & Asian students are discriminated against and nothing is done about it. Now I am being framed now by some members of staff and student leaders who are scared of being exposed so I have decided to apply to a distinguished and respectable university instead. Don’t be deceived by the photos, building being named after an anti-apartheid campaigner and doctorates being offered to prominent people who never enrolled because it is all based on propaganda and to deceive people into thinking it is multicultural and represents everyone because it’s false.

  Small university, nice modern campus, great location. The uni needs some facilities such as football pitch. Also the administration office has some issues which they need to fix.
