  we went to York for a day trip while we were on holiday but as it was raining we decided to visit go outdoors whislt the rain was on , we looked at all the great stuff on sale and even made a few purchases one which was a considerable buy at a great discounted price my son who bought the item was over the moon at getting something he was looking for for some time but was out of his budget we left the shop and travelled to our holiday accommodation and started to assemble his purchase now this item was required to be used immediately so imagine our disappointment when we found there was a part missing (devastation) shock horror the boys face anyway we phoned the shop and spoke to Rachel hope thats the correct spelling sorry if its not , this lady not only did not panic but instead made a great impression on me as she not only asked if she could phone me back after looking for the part but on finding it she then drove from york to thirsk area to deliver the part and made a 14 year old boy very very happy indeed so a great big thank you goes to Rachel our knight in shining blue uniform thank you very much Rachel we hope you got home alright and if we are in the area again yes we will be visiting go outdoors York

  Came in today to have a look at tents, spent ages looking & was very undecided. Had some great assistance from staff (Rick) who took plenty of time to give great advice on what I was looking for, he even got me a great deal on a big bundle. (Thank you!) Very happy customer :)

  I buy quite a lot of fishing, walking and cycling gear from here, and find it very good providing you stick to the top name brand! I bought Hi Gear boots once, they didn't last long!, neither did a gas stove! If your a member of the Caravan Club or the Caravan and camping club you get an extra ten per cent off as well as the discount card!

  Walking shies poor range high prices. Staff had zero product knowledge. Only interested in selling cheap clothes, won't go there again.

  Good range of well priced (if you have a discount card) decent quality gear. Fishing and clothing ranges were better than I'd have expected.
