::I don't remember going here but if Google insists it must be true. My review is therefore based on the name only. Golden Cross - sounds a bit stuffy, doesn't it? Probably a good place to sit and think conservative thoughts, reading a broadsheet.

::Cosy cafe but music is a bit too loud for such small rooms so it drowns out conversation. Good food menu. Small portions.
Marc Davies
::Slow service, questionable jacket potatoes and soup that didn't taste very fresh. The staff was nice but that's about it.

::Server was friendly, then the food came. Instead of "Tuna, fresh herbs, and mozzarella" the sandwich was filled with fishy canned tuna and cheese. Not worth more than two pounds, I paid over five. Shouldn't have expected more. If you'd like quick food nearby, there are plenty of nearby fast food restaurants and food stalls.

::Our drinks (water and an apple juice) took 30 minutes to arrive. The breakfasts we ordered took over an hour to arrive, and when it did all the food was cold and the toast so old that it crumbled every time I stuck my fork in it. We asked for the table to be cleaned three times and finally moved all the plates to another table and had to ask for a cloth from the kitchen to do it ourselves. Not happy.
