  I paid for my annual classic car insurance in one go. After 5 months I decided to sell the car and contacted Heritage to advise of this fact. Not only did they point blank refuse to refund any of the premium paid, they said I had to pay a further cancellation fee of £25. Despite numerous protests by myself they stonewalled me and kept blaming the underwriter. Within days of this conversation they sent me a threatening letter re legal proceedings if the money was not immediately paid. In my humble opinion, such conduct is nothing but racketeering as my car was insured for less than half of the period I paid for yet I had to give them additional money to cancel the policy. From my experience, I can definitely NOT recommend Heritage Insurance!

  My car insurance only went up by £3 from last year BUT they reminded me with only five days notice although letter said this was 2nd reminder. I only recieved the one reminder. Apart from that not bad at all.

  By far the worst experience I have had off an insurance company. Avoid at all costs - Lancaster are much better.

  Failed to provide information related to the policy - didnt send renewal paperwork until the day of renewal!!. Lack of agreed value not mentioned by operator during renewal - found out after they took my money. Couldn't recommend this company as they even ignored my complaint. One star is too much.

  when i cancelled my insurance, they dragged their heels with the refund, after waiting over a month and lots of phone calls, i still have not got my £280 refund - please avoid this company.
