::This is an old building and it is also a listed building. Limited parking is available at a cost. The reception is very nice and it offers lots of rooms for conferences etc. There is a indoor pool in the basement along with a steam room and sauna. There is also a gym. The restaurant is good and they work hard to please you. Breakfast was lovely. It is fair to say we had a number of small issues and these not dealt with initially but we spoke to someone else who could not have been more helpful. She listened and took corrective action so very well done. The room we stayed in was tired and does need a complete refurb. Also very creaky floorboards above. Bathroom was good. I like the door entry using your phone. Staff in general were helpful and friendly.

::We know the hotel and city well. The facilities are good, the family rooms are a good size and well equiped. The staff are friendly and helpful too. We come here roughly 3-4 times a year just for a relax and pamper.Hotel with character. Situated right in centre of town, so can be noisy outside. Parking is in a public car park structure over the road. Breakfast was good.

::Rooms OK. Family room a bit small so you could not walk round to bathroom easily. Staff very friendly but a bit concerned that the manager was abrupt bordering on rude when I emailed some suggestions. Be careful if driving there. You have to hunt for it on their website but go the wrong way to the hotel and you get fined. Breakfast OK. Had better, had worse. Overall OK, but at a premium cost. Location awesome rest is ...... Uninspiring and tired.

::This hotel is located in the city centre, very convenient if you want a sight seeing. The building is quite old and has limited parking facilities, but its swimming pool and sauna will compensate it. Pros - very friendly staff, always happy to help, especially the front desk - good swimming pool and sauna facilities with gym - location is perfect for tourists - digital key, so you can open your doors with your mobile phone - comfy beds Cons: - limited parking - old building, very noisy floor - average restaurant with average food selection - it is a nightmare to find the hotel by car due to road restrictions and one way road system. Overall we had a good stay and would recommend it.

::We come to this hotel about 4 times a year. We are a family of 4 so we need a family room. The room is always nice and big with a nice big bed for the grown ups and a good out couch and a single bed for the kids. Rooms are always clean and well stock with coffees and read even though we always have to ask for more herbal teas. The leisure facilities are what we really like about this Hilton. The pool is good and just the right temperature. The sauna has recently been refurbished and is really hot, s it should be. This weekend though, they were having issues with the steam room. The thermostat wasn't working so it was quite cool. Usually it's really nice and warm. Breakfast is also always good. The location of the hotel is also great. John Lewis is next to the hotel as are other shopping centres. There are also lots of pubs and restaurants within 2 minutes walk. The theatre is also just up the road. We will be back in Easter.
