::This place is bad, the operatives don't seem very competent at all. Here’s my experience. I took my car in there around Christmas time because of a strange noise which came on suddenly underneath. They investigated it and found one of the coil springs had broken. I said I'd leave it with them and they could replace both front ones. They did this and off I went, oblivious to what was going on underneath the car. Anyway, to cut a very long story short, they left me with a right mess. There was a leak from the gearbox (the gasket where the CV axle goes in to the gearbox, apparently this can happen if the CV axle is allowed to hang down unsupported) and a damaged strutt mount and bearing at the top of the off-side spring. The oil leak from the gearbox was not there prior to my visit. I can't say whether they damaged the mount doing the spring or whether it was worn and this caused the spring to break in the first place. If it was already worn and broken, they should have informed me so that I could sanction that part being changed along with the spring. If they damaged it doing the job, to keep quiet about it is even worse. Anyway, I'm all sorted now, but it's cost me a small fortune for two coil springs, what with car hire, taxi fares, dealer prices and everything else whilst my car was off the road. I didn’t go back to HiQ as I had no confidence in them whatsoever, and, I didn’t want to run the risk of something else being broken putting everything right. My advice; avoid them really and go elsewhere, there are a lot of better places out there, it's not worth the stress (or cost) in the long run.

::Avoid at all cost. I feel compelled to leave this review although the work they did was a couple of years ago. i took my car in for a full tyre change, and even though I thought it was a bit expensive, all seemed well and good. I got my car back that day and was making my way up the road when the back of my car started skidding (on a straight road at around 25mph). I took the car back to them regarding what happened to which they immediately became rude. So I went to another tyre shop for them to check out the problem. They told me that HiQ had fitted the inner tube inside out, or something to that effect... can't remember the exact details. They then proceeded to show me a a tennis ball size bulge sticking out of my back tyre. After seeing this I took my car back to HiQ and showed them the bulge that was sticking out of the back tyre. With proof like this there was no way of them weaseling their way out of it. So they took it in to 'Fix'. Late that day I went to collect my car, and while doing so they make up some pointless and unacceptable story about one of the new guys fitting the tyres incorrectly. So I took my car and made my way home. As I was driving around a round-about with the intention to take the second exit (which was straight ahead), all of a sudden the car lost control, spins out and does a 180 degree turn facing oncoming traffic. Needless to say that i have never gone back and never will. This garage is beyond terrible, they are dangerous. Please reconsider before taking your car there. Terrible prices, terrible work and terrible customer service. There are at least a 1000 different places to go before ever considering taking your car to HiQ.

::Had balancing poorly done by two other garages. Went to HiQ => job done properly.

::Took some alloy wheels there to get tyres on, needed a recommendation for the size, for some reason they kept saying "they are too wide for your car" and said they could buy some in (really expensive tyres £130 each) and if they didn't fit that's my fault. If a tyre shop can't even confidently recommend you tyres what hope have you got. 10/10 would probably change the tyres on your Micra though.
