was at the shop on the 18 / 01 /2018 and seeked help from a someone on the customer service desk around 12:45, i have never seen such bad customer service in my time, i asked about a product behind the till which was a stanley drill driver, the person at the till begain to serve somebody else and then snatched the item out of my hand and run off into the back of store and said he cant leave me with the item. this store is a joke and their staff need to be trained on how to deal with customers and some manners

Loads of gardening supplies and most other DIY necessities, staff are not very friendly nor knowledgeable.

Much improved over the last couple of years since the company changed ownership. The prices have certainly become much more competitive to the point where some items are now better priced than with a trade account at the larger builders' merchants. That said, Homebase as a whole really does struggle by trying to be all things to all people and often you'll do much better by going to dedicated specialists for whatever you need, be it paint, timber, plumbing parts, garden supplies, etc. Often I'll leave empty handed as what I need isn't stocked, or at least should be but they've run out. This store does seem to be struggling to find space for their stock as there will often be promotional items scattered in the middle of isles which can make things a bit awkward when trying to push a trolley around.

Took awhile to get what I came for. Almost dominated by seasonal promotions. Good intermediate price on what l came for (Henry vacuum cleaner).

Understocked and understaffed. I needed a special type of undercoat which according to the homebase website was available in the Woking branch. When I got to the store there was hardly any staff to help me find it. When they did find it, it was the large can at £28. I told them that I wanted the small can which was £15. The guy said "I don't think we have it". I told him that according to the website there should be 6 in Woking. He said "I can't find it so just take the large one". He didn't even look! In the end I just ordered it from EBay. Huge difference between this branch and Guildford.
