::Stayed here for only one night before heading off for the Newhaven ferry. Very pleasant stay, clean showers and toilets, would definitely stay again

::Absolutely beautiful little site with excellent pitches each with their own firepit. The showers are fantastic and the toilets are very good. It is a quiet site so don't be bringing your noise with you. There's a bus stop immediately outside the site with regular services to Brighton and Lewes. One stop westwards is Falmer which has shops, a train station and an absolutely brilliant pub. The site is in the middle of the South Downs National Park and is actually on the South Downs Path so bring a map with you and go and explore. The owners are friendly and very helpful and I'd advise that you buy a net of logs when you book as these will be waiting for you on your pitch. Altogether I cannot recommend Housedean Farm highly enough.

::So we stayed in a group of 15, some of which were inexperience campers, but we all enjoyed our stay. Positives: Large pitches (we had two pitches with numerous sized tents), firepit (one per pitch), heated and spacious toilet cubicles, heated showers, kitchen cleaning area, all regularly cleaned, close to the bus stop (for Brighton) and friendly staff/owners! Negatives: A bit close to the main A road (ear plus essential!), showers a bit exposed/hard to hang all your dry gear, a bit hilly in places so not perfect for the tents/sleeping. Would I/we come back? YES!!

::Great little campsite, friendly and helpful site manager and staff. Yes a bit of road noise and yes some pitches are on a slope but it's fine if you pitch the tent so you sleep with your head up slope. Would definitely use again. Some nice places to visit nearby like Lewes castle and Brighton Marina.
