  When is your money not your money??!! When you bank with HSBC. I paid a bankers cheque in, no issues with that. On the 4th day my phone app and online banking showed the cheque had cleared and funds were available, in addition to funds already in my bank account. Went to a shop to treat myself to something, card declined. Went into the bank for an explanation. Told that even though it now shows as available it won't be until the following Monday, in case the cheque gets recalled....now remember, this is a bankers cheque from Barclaycard. Got home and tried to pay my bills with the money that was in my account prior to the cheque. Payment declined. They blocked my account from any use. Had to go back to the bank and sit like a Muppet while they unblocked my account, to pay bills in front of them, and then they put a block back on my account. Regardless of the cheque, that is MY money!!!!! FCA here I come.....already started the complaints process. To make matters worse, I've just come off the phone with the issuing bank and they said it's all been completed and transferred from their end!! HSBC the Worlds Local Bank my A**se..... only interested in the wealthy.

  Such helpful friendly staff - I have been a customer for over 30 years and I would not go anywhere else!

  Should be a zero, been a customer over 17 years service was shocking today, will be moving to another bank!!!!! They should treat loyal customers better
