  Visited 7/4/18, first impressions from the outside of the shop, looks good professional/old school classic barber look, kinda draws you in. However, upon walking in and being the only customer, 2 of the available staff didn’t greet me, instead one of them (a short haired woman) just stood up and pointed me to the chair, I was wearing a jacket which I took off and asked the woman where I can hang it and again she just pointed to put it on the chair next to me. During and after the haircut the only words she said is “what are we doing today” and “is that ok” Charged £23, not even offered a drink! The overall experience was no different than my local barber except for the fact I was charged £10 more. To add to this, once I got home I also discovered that my hair is slightly longer on one side and I still have quite a few strands of my longer hair in amongst my grade 2 hair at the back, this was noticeable enough that it was picked up by other people!!! In Future I’ll stick to Jack rabbits in Winchester.

  Always get a perfect haircut every time by Berken. Cannot fault the service. Wouldn't go anywhere else. 11/10

  Good haircut but not offered drink and for £23 i thought your hair would be washed as well not just cut and then go, furthermore staff answered there phones and sit there playing games wasnt to happy after this hair cut ill be going to a different place now where i will get bettwr service and a better haircut for a cheaper price...

  Favourite place to go for a trim now. Very affordable for the quality received, free beer, live sports coverage and a PS4 while you wait. Only negative experience I’ve had was returning a couple days after a cut as I realised I would have wanted at least an inch more off the top. Asked over the phone and was told it was fine/there wouldn’t be a charge. However, when I turned up the new bloke who gave it a touch-up didn’t seem happy in the slightest, was very rough and careless with the comb... he was far from welcoming and the only thing he said was ‘what’s wrong with it then’. Which not only seems aggressive/defensive, but discourages customers and the ones around you, not to mention the (fantastic) barber that had already done my hair. I had to express it was more my fault than his as I should have asked for a bit more length off the top. There has also been another occasion where a girl was talking mostly to the barber next to her and the client. Spent more time looking left than at the hair she was cutting! Still did a great job though. If it wasn’t for that one-off experience I would have given 5 stars.
