::This is definitely my favourite depatment store in Glasgow. With knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff and a great range of products on every floor. Ideally situated next to the bus station and car parking it's no wonder I am come in here on a weekly basis

::Like most department stores, way too hot for comfort levels. Good amount of stock on display, but trying audio equipment feels like hard work, with limited amounts of headphones on display and long wait times to try something from non display. Customer service however is good, pricing is fairly competitive from the high street retailers but as always, check against online if you are not in a hurry.

::I bought two winter coats from John Lewis at the end of September and wore the first one almost right away, very pleased with fit and comfort the second one I wore for the first time just recently and it was not a good fit at all, the lining crept up on the inside of the coat which made it uncomfortable. I took this coat back and told the sales assistant I no longer had my receipt, I was given a gift card ( the modern day version of a credit note) which was justifiable as I didn't have the receipt any more. Was pleased with how I was fairly treated and there was no hassle from the store to give me this gift card.

::Paid £1199.- up front, in cash, for a Miele washing machine, which wasn't in stock, as mine had broken down and they had it for 20% off special offer. Was charged £25 for delivery/uplift even though this would have free if I had ordered online. Was told the machine would be delivered to my address within 2 working days of it coming into stock and that a member of staff would contact me to arrange delivery as soon as it arrived in store. Called a few days later for an update and told it would be in the following day. The following day came and went and not a peep from John Lewis and the next day waited until lunchtime before calling them myself. Was told the machine was now in but the earliest they could deliver was 5 days later!....Eh, what happened to the promised "within 2 days" I was spun when buying? Not best pleased with John Lewis and will think twice before ordering anything from them again. Incredibly poor after sales service!!! Off to the launderette now!!!
