  Terrible service. I called the shop to make sure someone is there as I needed a set of key to cut. Mr Mackay advised me to come in the morning, at 9:30 when he opens the shop. I arrived a few minutes earlier then I waited until 10 am - he was still a no show. This not how you run a business. :(

  I have used John Mackay & Son Locksmiths on many occasions. I recently upgraded to security barrels on my locks at home due to a recent spate of local break-ins, and the work was carried out quickly and efficiently by professionals who clearly take pride in their work.   Had to recently get 20 keys cut at short notice. Called John at Mackay locksmiths and he was able to sort it out for me. Great service.

  Poor response even just to obtain a quote constantly had to call to get an update. Still nothing after months. Looking for another more reliable and professional locksmith now.
