  Had a delicious meal here on a rare night out without the kids. Friendly staff, really unusual menu but extremely tasty.

  Nice location, free underground parking nearby, friendly service, food was good, wine was very nice too, very good Rioja, served with Pigeon, and for dessert, Ginger ice-cream and fresh Rhubarb, an espresso, I ask you, what more could you want, don't answer! Would recommend, there may be many restaurants in Chester, but a small handful can deliver on this level, I would say the next level up would be the Chester Grosvenor restaurant, and I don't mean the brasserie! So if you are visiting Chester, I would definitely book a table here, if you can't get a table here, try the restaurant called The Sticky Walnut, in Hoole area of the city, you won't be disappointed with either of the selections I have given you, crucially, enjoy your time in the city. 😉

  Excellent lunch. Special is a real bargain at £10. Staff are also very friendly and helpful.

  First rate restaurant in Chester. We wanted a smaller intimate restaurant experience for my birthday weekend - Joseph Benjamin fitted the bill perfectly. Great reception started with. G&T from the bar. We were seated in a nice table for two and had the charcuterie share to start - absolutely spot on. We followed this with mains of Sea trout and chicken supreme complete with sides of chips, fennel gratin & gem lettuce - all washed down with a crisp Vouvray. You must visit before it gets too busy - with food this good it won’t be long before they have a six month waiting list.
