  I only read the previous reviews after having already booked a table at the Kemeys Manor Restaurant for a special dinner with friends. Went in fear and trepidation that it would be a big disappointment. I am certainly glad we did go. Lovely old country house. Toni the owner couldn't have been more welcoming. It was a cold wet evening (August!!) so the log fires quickly got us warmed up. Still wondering what the meal would be like though. Well it really couldn't have been better - well presented and delicious - we all really enjoyed the evening.

  With reference to review "Beautiful venue - Beautiful food!", these comments are neither "malicious" nor "calculating", just honest. I recently attended a wedding there, I had been led to expect a lot, the setting was superb and a nice old building, if not a little jaded. An events organiser had worked hard to put on a good event for the newly weds, it’s a pity the owners did not respond in like manner. The owner couldn’t even open a bottle of sparkling wine properly and sprayed my friends jacket. Canapés were dull, the wedding breakfast suckling pig was very fatty, and the vegetables were uninspiring. Burghers served late in the evening were meant to be homemade and served on homemade bread, both were cheap mass produced rubbish, not even fit for the pigs. The owner tried to increase the price of drinks for the event. The owners have really done themselves no good, both the organiser and a number of local business owners, said they will never go there again, nor will they recommend it. I really felt sorry for the organiser and newly weds, not withstanding, friends and relatives rallied round and good time was had by all despite the lack of interest of the owners.

  THe food is digraceful! They spat in my food and gave my husband a dirty spoon!
