::Lovely staff gave us a warm welcome. The room has old fashioned charm yet was pleasant and clean with a redone bathroom and modern TV. Kettle and teabags in room is a nice feature. Breakfast was made to order and delicious, served by a very professional and pleasant lady. Cathedral road is a lovely location. The street is pretty and there is a very large park just behind perfect for a morning walk or run. The walk to city center or the stadium is less than 25 minutes. We had no trouble parking the car on the street, restriction free.

::Amazing small period hotel, with a fantastic 'living/reading' room with huge windows. The bedrooms, bathrooms and the whole hotel are clean and fresh. A very convenient private parking at the rear. Delicious breakfast and generous options. The service are good and professional. There's bus stop near hotel, but the town centre is in walking distance, through the park. And it's a nice walk.

::Great place in convenient city location with private parking area. We had the four poster room with bay window overlooking the street. Nice Victorian room with a modern bath (tub a little high and sink a little small but workable). Because of the heat there were portable fans which worked well. Loved the downstairs sitting area and breakfast in the authentic day room. Within walking distance was Top Hat laundry near an Italian restaurant so we could do chores and eat before seeing Cardiff Castle.
