The one star is for the respection staff. Some of the Dr’s are awful... ‘Dr Rudge’ has a despicable bed side manner and proceeded to verbally insult me for 15 minutes, refusing to give me a blood test for a low thyroid and deficiencies and offering me anxiety medication for the physical pain symtoms i was experiencing, fatigue and tinnitus. Four months later after going back to the surgery and demanding to know what was wrong with I was finally treated for a low thyroid and deficiencies. 8 months after these symptoms started I am now expericing joing problems in my hip and pelvic area and am dealing with inflamation and stiffness when I walk way worse than when I originally attended the surgery 7/8 months ago. I was told yesterday I have Sciatica, even the average person who isn’t a Dr knows that Sciatica is leg pain. I have had a nurse google what a full blood count tests for whilst in the room with me. A nurse should know what a full blood count is, yet whilst complaining to the practice manager I was spoken down to and told the Dr knows more what sciatica is than I do and also told the Dr knows more than the internet... wait hang on (Face palm). Well if the nurse has to google what she’s supposed to be doing I am sure as hell that when the doctor didn’t even go through the procedure of properly diagnosing sciatica she was most likely attempting to rush me out of the surgery. I also asked Dr Rudge to write a description of my mental health problems for student finance. He wrote on the form that I had mental health problems due to drug abuse. I was diagnosed with PTSD in 2011 at the age of 15. It’s a real shame that the receptionists are left to deal with the unhappy patients. Dr Rudge is a nasty piece of work and should certianly not be working with physically and mentally vaunnrable people! I have been treated by these doctors as if I am hallucinating my symptoms and have experienced prejudice behaviours towards myself from the surgery, whilst the whole time my physical health has got worse despite a complete overhall in my life style!!

I am a patient at Lisson Grove Medical Centre. Unfortunately, I cannot write a good review about Lisson Grove. In the time I have attended, I have had nothing but problems. My prescriptions are never at the chemist when they are supposed to be. When I call the centre, I generally have a 10-30 minute wait on the phone. When I explain the reason for my enquiry, the receptionist, (and this happens regularly) tells me the chemist should have put in a request for repeat prescription. To which I reply that they have by fax and email. The receptionist will then say they have not received the request. I have had to spend a couple of hours, trying to sort the prescription out. Waiting for the doctor to sign it, then waiting for it to be sent electronically to my chemist. This always happens when I do not have time to waste. I experience difficulty obtaining an appointment (even if it's an emergency). When I do attend an appointment, my waiting time is around 40 minutes. I am now contemplating changing surgery, as it is so inconveniencing. Lisson Grove seems to have difficulty with the amount of patients that they manage and this is apparent. The staff seem to be overwhelmed, and they seem to be short staffed. Not recommended...

I've been to many MANY doctors throughout the country(I move alot) and this is easily the best staff I've ever encountered. I will say most of the negative reviews are coming due to the system changes nationwide rather than the actual surgeries fault. People complaining of waiting weeks, yeah that's EVERYWHERE, if you don't like it, then don't vote tory as it's the government who decide this mess.
