Lindsey Ambrose
::An unusual opportunity to get some insights to the fashion for medieval tower homes. This part was the 'solar', next to the manor house. The 14th century wall paintings are remarkable, especially having survived both reformation whitewashing and treatment with a wax that caused the loss of their original bright colours. It doesn't take long to visit.
Wendy Chamberlain

Alan Towse
